Realm Raiders by Various

Are You Ready for The Realm Raiders?
What happens when you take nine indie authors, three mysterious ancient artefacts and an infinite number of realms? This is the question that will soon be answered with the upcoming release of Realm Raiders, an exciting new indie project. Spearheaded by UK author Phil Parker, Realm Raiders is a collaborative, weekly serialised web-fiction that will launch on Spotlight Indie in just a few weeks’ time.
Realm Raiders, a collaboration between some of the best established and emerging indie authors is a blend of genres and styles inspired by the type of serialised stories that once graced the pages of newspapers and magazines in the mid-19th century. In other words, a bit of a modern take on the format that Charles Dickens famously popularised!
With the goal of introducing something fresh to the indie scene, Phil gathered a group of talented authors from the online author collective known as The Creative Commune (be sure to follow them on social media here). The authors contributing to the project include Spotlight Indie’s very own Alex S. Bradshaw, as well as Frank Dorrian, Rachel V. Green, Patrick Samphire, Ed Crocker, Simon Kewin, Derek Power, Damien Larkin and Phil Williams.
Each author will contribute multiple chapters to the ongoing story, resulting in a delicious tasting platter of indie styles, genres and voices – with all the chapters woven together by a single, central storyline revolving around three ancient artefacts. In the coming weeks, leading up to the release of the first chapter, Spotlight Indie will be sharing videos, interviews and articles that bring you exclusive insights as to the origins of the project, introduce the authors and look at what it takes to bring something like Realm Raiders to life.
Do you want to hear from some of the Realm Raiders LIVE? Phil Parker, Rachel V. Green, Patrick Samphire and Alex S. Bradshaw will be chatting about the project on the ‘Rise of The Realm Raiders’ panel at Spotlight Indie 2025 on September 20th at NERDY Café, Shrewsbury. Tickets for the event go live 01st April!
